Terms of service
Short, and in plain words. Using the site means you are fine with these.
Last updated
The stories are free. Read them, play them, share the link with anyone you like. Don't re-publish them as your own or sell them. There is no account to create and nothing to pay. We write and run all of this ourselves, so please treat it as what it is: a small nightly show, offered as-is, with no promises about uptime and no claim to be anything more than a bedtime story.
Who runs this
Daily Bedtime Story is written, illustrated, narrated and operated by Kids Games App, a sole proprietorship based in Israel. Throughout this page, we means Kids Games App, and the site means dailybedtimestory.com together with the podcast feed it publishes and the YouTube channel it feeds.
You can reach us at privacy@kidsgamesapp.com.
Using the site
Everything here is free and open to read and listen to. There is no sign-up, no account, no subscription and nothing to buy, so there is also no order to place, no payment to take and no refund to give.
By using the site, you agree to these three simple things:
- Not to try to break it, overload it, or get into parts of it that are not published.
- Not to bulk-download or scrape the stories, the illustrations, the audio or the feed — including collecting them into any dataset or collection, whether or not it is redistributed.
- Not to use the site to do anything unlawful, or anything that would harm another person.
If a child is using the site, an adult is responsible for that. The stories are intended to be started by a grown-up and listened to together.
The stories, and what you may do with them
Every story, illustration, piece of narration and lullaby on this site is original work that we created and own, unless a page says otherwise. It is protected by copyright.
Yes, absolutely
- Read and listen at home, as often as you like.
- Play a story to a class, a library group, a nursery or a group of children, free of charge.
- Share the link — to the site, to an episode, to the podcast, to the channel. Sharing links is the thing we would most like you to do.
- Subscribe to the podcast in any podcast app.
Please don't
- Re-publish, re-upload or re-post the stories, art or audio anywhere else as though they were yours, or under a different name.
- Sell them, charge admission to them, or bundle them into anything paid.
- Edit them and pass the result off as the original.
- Use the name, the wordmark or the artwork to suggest that we endorse something we don't.
If you want to do something that isn't on either list — a school project, a charity event, a translation, anything — just ask. The answer is usually yes.
The podcast feed
The RSS feed at dailybedtimestory.com/podcast.xml is published so that podcast apps and directories can list the show in the ordinary way, and you are welcome to subscribe to it in any app. It is not a licence to re-host the audio, to place the episodes into another feed, or to insert advertising into them.
The YouTube channel
Episodes are also published to the Daily Bedtime Story channel on YouTube. When you watch there, you are on YouTube, and YouTube's own terms and privacy policy govern that visit rather than this page. The channel is marked as made for children at the channel level.
Feedback you send us
At the end of a story you can rate it and, optionally, type a short note. If you send one:
- You are giving us permission to read it and to use it to make the show better — including changing how stories are written because of what you said.
- It is not confidential, and we cannot promise a reply, though we do read all of it.
- Please don't include personal details — yours or your child's. As the privacy policy explains, feedback is stored without anything that identifies you, which means we usually cannot find it later to delete it on request.
- Don't send anything that isn't yours to send, or anything abusive.
What this site isn't
It is a bedtime story. It is not medical, psychological, developmental or sleep advice, and nothing here should be treated as a substitute for a professional who knows your child. If you have a concern about your child's sleep, health or development, please talk to a doctor.
Availability, changes, and "as-is"
A new episode is published most days, but not as a contractual promise. The site may be slow, may be briefly unreachable, may change shape, and individual stories may be edited, retitled or withdrawn. We may add things, remove things, or stop publishing altogether.
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or from being unable to use it. Since the site is free, there is no fee to refund; where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum the law permits.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited — including fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence — and nothing here affects the rights a consumer has under the law where they live.
Links to other places
The site links out to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and a few other services. We don't control those, we're not responsible for what they do, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you are there.
Privacy
What the site collects, and what it deliberately does not, is set out in the privacy policy. It is part of these terms.
Which law applies
Kids Games App is based in Israel, and these terms are governed by the laws of Israel. If a dispute cannot be sorted out by email — and we would very much like to sort it out by email — the courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any protection or any right to bring proceedings that the law of your own country gives you.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. When they do, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated terms apply. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
Getting in touch
Email privacy@kidsgamesapp.com — permissions, corrections, complaints, or a note about a story that worked. It reaches a real person directly.
